Four Seasons Sunrooms

I have been trying to find a solution to a Four Seasons Sunroom glass roof system installed by one of FSS contractors. The roof leaked from the start and the contractor came back again and again trying to get the thing to stop leaking. After a couple of years, with the purchasers complaining bitterly about not being able to use the room because the water literally poured into it, I hit upon a solution. It's still experimental but the initial results seem to have cured the problem. Anybody interested should post and I'll see if I can help.

I'm sorry for what you have all been through. Hopefully you will feel a tinge of justice knowing that I am not going to hire this company based on all the complaints I've read.

Hopefully Four Seasons will notice that people are reading these complaints and it is costing them business to not correct their mistakes. If they cared, they would be posting here and reaching out to correct these problems but I have only seen one such comment so far.

I guess it's best to only use a contractor or company who gets paid when the job is completed.

I have had the same problem for years. Not only are the leaks worse, but water now comes in through the floors as well.

The contractor came out numerous time, but the issue was never resolved and the last time I contacted him he wrote me a nasty letter stating that they have done all that they are going to do. If you were able to stop the leaks, I would be most appreciatve if you would share your secret.

I am not satisfied with the four seasons sun room that was built at my house. Water issues etc...

what recourse do I have? What can I do to get four seasons and the contractor to take responsibility for these problems?

Thanks, Chris

My sunroom (built 8 years ago) which cost $68,000 has completely rotted from poorly installed flashing and calking. The store in Natick couldn't care less and I am getting estimates to repair it. The only way to do it correctly is to disassemble the entire room and...

Try FSFactoryDirect.com They are a very reputable

company and have fixed many mistakes made by other

companies. Four Seasons is a good product, but only

as good as the installer. FS fixed my sunroom and

helped us with an insurance claim to get some of the

money back on the fix. Now the room is used as intended

and we enjoy it very much.

DO NOT GET A FOUR SEASON SUNROOM! | Four Seasons Sunrooms review from Irvine, California

We had a four season sunroom added to our house in So Cal. After 1st rain, we had a swimming pool in the room. Called four season contractor, was told it was because we had dogs, and their hair caused the water not to drain. We had the problem over and over, (even when we did not have dogs) one excuse after another, then was told we only guarrantee our work for 5 years. Sorry:-) Called four seasons main office, I was told it wasnt their problem. Additional due to all the water coming in the room, electrial that runs around bottom of room shorted out, then caused more electrical problems because to the way they tied in to existing electricity. $35,000.00 down the drain. Please DONT NOT get a four seasons sunroom, unless you like to throw away your hard earned money. Would love any information on a class action suit.

It really wasn't the rooms fault, it was the contractors fault.

You can go online and google class action lawyers - they are lining up for opportunities like this. Attorneys and initial plaintiffs are the only ones who make a lot of money on class action lawsuits. Everyone else will get pennies on the dollar.

The framing leaks and weeps into the knee wall causing rot. The sunroom was built in 2003 and Four Seasons has yet to formally respond to any polite phone call or letter. The installer was somewhat responsive until he could not figure it out. Now he has dropped out...

Four Seasons -- Don't believe the guarantee! | Four Seasons Sunrooms review from Fredericksburg, Virginia

I purchased a sunroom from Four Seasons Solar Products. After seven years we discoverd wood rot caused by water entering within the structure. Inspection by experts concluded that the sunroom was not correctly installed. As a result, it had to be torn down, and replaced. I wound up paying for the same room twice. When I appealed to Four Seasons they answered that the 10 year guarantee covers the materials, not the installation. The installation is done by the dealer. In our case, the dealer went bankrupt so we had to recourse to him. Dealers are trained by Four Seasons, and use the Four Seasons logo. When we inquired about a sunroom, we were referred to the dealer, Mr. Kim of KHI, there was no choice. Despite the link between the company and the dealer, Four Seasons denies all responsbility. The highly touted 10 year guarantee is practically worthless.

Four seasons does not stand behind their products. I have had one four over 15 years and had problems from the beginning.

Contractor did not do the job and Four Seasons hung up on me when I complained and they said that it wasn't their problem. Their sunroom has leaked badly in many places for the entire 15 years.

And too difficult to heat in the winter and too hot in the summer and no way to install any kind of shade or blinds. I wish I had installed a regular room with a lot of skylights.

Am a little puzzled,do you know vinyl windows are twice the price of an aluminum window?? much better also for your colder climates up North? your complain should give a little more detail than just that, because the way I see it they are offering you a Mercedes Benz when you only paid for a KIA!
