FOUR SEASONS SUNROOMS WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THE CONSTRUCTION WORK OF THEIR AUTHORIZED AGENTS. I PURCHASED ONE AND THE CONTRACTOR CLOSED AND HAD NUMEROUS LAWSUITS AGAINST HIM FOR POOR WORK.

FOUR SEASONS SENT ANOTHER AGENT TO INSPECT AND ONE PERSON FROM THEIR HOME OFFICE CAME DOWN AS WELL. THE PERSON FROM THEIR MAIN OFFICE TOLD ME OF NUMEROUS INSTALLATION "NO-NOS" THAT HE FOUND.

MY SUNROOM HAD BEEN LEAKING SINCE INSTALLATION AND THE FLOOR ROTTED OUT. COST ME ALMOST $2000 DOLLARS.

ADVICE...DON'T ADD ANYTHING TO YOUR HOUSE AFTER CONSTRUCTION AND IF YOU DO, DON'T USE FOUR SEASONS SUNROOMS.

Monetary Loss: $1700.

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina

We contacted Four Seasons for an appointment on a Wed. They were suppose to come out at 1pm Saturday.

Called Fri. at 5:15 to say they were all booked up for Saturday to call and confirm a new appointment time.

AHHH if they can't even make good on an appointment. Then after reading all the problems people have had I'm thinking it's been a blessing that they were too busy to mess with us.

I had issues from day one - the installer measured, I bought, he embezzeled the funds, they installed, it leaked (still does, no permits or inspections and the company refuses to fix anything.

Like Phyllis, We had a consultaion with a real nice guy but later decided that we would hold off on the sunroom. We called to cancel and the company told us that they had to send out a representative to cancel the order.

When he came he was very rude and continued to try to convince me to buy the room. He wouldn't give me back my deposit check, but I had the foresight to postdate the check and eventually put a stop on it. I told him numerous times that I had to leave so we needed to end our meeting but he refused to leave until I eventually became infuriated and screamed at him to get the *** out of my house. Next step was a call to the police.

When I called the office in Holbrook, N.Y.to complain,I was told a supervisor would return my call...and never has. I can only wonder how he would have been with an older person or a woman. Not sure what it would have taken for them to make him leave.

I will NEVER deal with them again. Be very careful if you do.

I tried to cancel my contract after I read it and they had left off the tiles that they had said they would put in the room and they were to connect our central air to room. They wanted to charge us over $3,000 more because we were doing the foundation ourselves.

They wouldn't respond to our calls within the 3 days that were given to cancel the contract.

They answered the calls after the cancelation time was up. We cancelled anyway and they wanted us to pay them $6,000 for cancelling.I wouldn't encourage anyone to use four seasons.

:( I wish I had seen these coments prior to starting my project (currently under construction) and having problems with the contractor (4 Seasons of Raleigh, NC)

We have been duped by Four Seasons Sunroom, before signing the contract, their sales David Angosto told us we'd get full refund if the construction permit is denied and after the contract is signed, they will not fulfill their promise and said they would deduct huge amount of architectural fee out of the money they've received so far.

Any remedies we can take, please let us know

Four seasons came out to give me a 2 1/2 hour presentation about their windows. I was told it would take an hour.

After eating up most of my Saturday, i decided to leave a deposit and shop around some more. I then decided i would not proceed with them and canceled the order. I called several managers and they said it was canceled. When i asked about my deposit, they said it should be returned to you.

It is now going on the 3rd week, and i have yet to get any refunds. When i call to leave messages, they are not returned.

Shady, Shady, Shady. Glad i didn't pay for their over priced windows

I am so sad after reading all the comments about problems with 4 seasons sunrooms on this site and many other consumer sites. Ours was installed in 1985, and soon after began having problems (drainage, mold, broken seals, clouded glass).

It quickly turned into a squalid nightmare. $12,000 went into it initially and more later in futile attempts to repair windows. A contractor told us that the shelf life of these structures is misrepresented (it is actually very short). We didn't realize how bad things were until we opened up the walls (after the warranty had expired) revealing problems that would have begun a long time ago.

Well, I won't be fooled again. We are having the structure taken down (I will put an ad on craigslist).

At least the scrap aluminum and glass might be worth a few hundred dollars. :cry

4 Seasons Sunrooms Kansas wrote a poor contract and took over 10k from my neighbor lady, no work done, and got by with it throught thier attorney. Jerry Amoyette got over 10k for nothing...you better look into them before you sign.

We signed our contract with a company out of Johnstown PA on 6-14-07 to install a system 6 Classic Curved Timber. We had problems from day one and they haven't stopped.

As of today we still are unable to finish or use the room due to leaking problems.

I have contacted Four Seasons in the past with no positive results except " talk to the installer". Personally, I don't think the installers were not qualified to install the room properly and I feel that Four Seasons should take some responsibility in trying to correct these issues as they train these people and list them as qualified installers!

Im just wondering if anyone on this post thinks that its a windows manufacturers problem when when your local carpenter doesnt install the window right. Or is it the car part companies fault when a shoddy mechanic installs a part wrong.

4 seasons products are the best in the sunroom business and if theyre leaking or causing someother kind of headache its because of the installer and company who sold it to you.

Im extremely sorry to hear all these stories because I know that when all my rooms get installed the onus is on me and the guys i have install them. And if there is a problem I dont differ to 4 seasons I solve said problem.

my sunroom leaks all the time after a snow.I removed the downspouts for the gutters and it still leaks inside.Four seasons people come to my house and they put a bandaid on the problem.I tried to put a claim in to FOUR SEASONS,they came to my house and did nothing for me.I think there is a design problem with their products and they will not admit it.I think the gutters are not wide enough, and they be lower than the roof line. The metal roof is very noisy when it rains,I can't talk to anyone if it is raining hard. The room is hotter in the summer because of the metal roof.I should have paid the extra money, and had a conventional room put on.If I had the money now,I would tear this room down and put the pieces on FOUR SEASONS front lawn

Our Four Season Sunroom has been a disaster from the time they started to stall it. We've continually had problems for the past three years now.

Poor to nearly no roof insulation, leaks caused by ice *** build up under the roof line. Etc. . .

. It is one of the biggest and costly decisions we've made.

Afraid I am also a 4 Seasons victim. Our issue was the contractor was not a licensed builder.

Sure the building permit (which I pulled later) had a licensed contractor listed, but never saw that person. Our franchisee apparently "rents" out the license. Ended up going to formal arbitration which cost a lot. I won, as expected.

But then needed to go to court since they would not honor the arbitration award. And, hey the room also leaks. Plus, it is nowhere near four seasons.

Freezing in the winter and boiling in the summer. Piece of ***.

We have also been having problems with four seasons. We installed a 16 bay lean to room in 2002. All the casement hardware (16) has failed. Five (5) of the curved windows have fogged and we are experiencing numerous leaks.

After three years we finally got a response from them telling us the repairs would be $4,500 plus on their defective products.

The original installation contract was four 70K. We will be turning it over to a lawyer. Based on the complaints against four seasons found on line, I suspect they have exhibited more than an ample history of fraud.

I have been trying to receive results from Four Seasons Sunroom for over 10 years. The latest issue is the reflection of the sun from the glass onto the siding.

The siding melted and I had it replaced last summer. I saved the melting pieces of siding; the only siding that melted was where the sun reflected onto it. I sent colored photos to Four Seasons and yet to hear from them.

This latest issues has been pending since May 2010.

I have opinions from two contractors, professional painter, and an owner of a roofing company; they all agree the sun reflection is melting the siding. The owner of the roofing company has said he has seen this often and even houses adjacent to a Four Season Sunroom having siding and metal doors affected.

I first noticed my sunroom leaking about 8 months post installation. Since the original installer, Bill Greene; proprietor of "For All Seasons" in Brick NJ had "retired" only a few months prior, I had to call in the new franchise owner who told me they were not responsible for the installers labor screw ups.

I then called 4 seasons corporate office who basically told me they were not reponsible as this was a "franchise" issue, not theirs. What a crock of ####! Buyer BEWARE as 4 Seasons corporate does NOT stand behind their franchise(s) nor do they scrutinize close enough who can be a franchise. Upon my first contact with them, THEY pointed me to Bill Greene.

They didnt give me a realistic choice. I would highly advise against doing any business with 4 Seasons under any condition.
